Patricia R. Davis

Patricia R. Davis, a longtime Lower Saucon resident, died February 4, 2017 at Fellowship Community. She was 86. A beautiful woman and gentle spirit, she befriended many and was beloved by all.

Pat was born October 14, 1930 to Albert and Ruth (Walker) Ullman in Salem, Oregon. Her fondest memories were of gatherings at the family cabin there, wading in the creek and swimming at Butterfly Falls. The water was a lifelong respite for her.

A graduate of the University of Oregon, Pat worked for the American Red Cross in Okinawa, Japan during the Korean War where she organized social activities for troops in the hospital wards. Her travel bug firmly established, she adventured to the top of Mt. Fuji and toured Southeast Asia.

Stateside, she married and raised four daughters. Despite a busy schedule Pat devoted much time to her childrens activities and was a generous volunteer. She especially enjoyed working at the American Cancer Societys Boutique at the Rink in the “antiques and uniques” section and helped with events and fundraising for the Heller Homestead. At home, she poured creative energy into her flowerbeds. Always, she had a willing ear to listen.

She was an active member of Friedens Lutheran Church.

Pat is survived by her daughters Lori (Tim) McLaughlin, Lisa Harris, Linda (Russ) Kocher, her grandson Zak Harris, brother Donald Ullman of Salem, Oregon and former husband Bruce Davis. She is predeceased by a daughter, Leslie, and brother, Robert Ullman.

Her family will miss her patient and loving presence.

A visitation will be held at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. immediately followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m.
