Patrick J. Skelly, “Uncle Pat”, 83, of Bethlehem, died on Thursday, November 06, 2014 at his residence. He was born in Bethlehem; son of the late, John and Grace (Ward) Skelly. He was the loving husband of 58 years to Irene (Gecsek) Skelly. Pat drove a coal truck for his uncle Bernie after which he drove for Modern Transfer Co. until they closed. He then owned and operated Pats Newstand and Your Welcome Inn. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Irene; son, Pat and wife, Anne; granddaughters, Dr. Elizabeth and Kathleen; sisters, Lorraine and Mary Theresa Rohr; nieces and nephews; many friends, especially John Fedor, Mike Fatzinger, Tony Braun, Herbie Musselman, Billy Cooke and Dickey Groff. He was preceded in death by his brother, John; and friend, Dick Wagner.

Services: A visitation will be held at The Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 on Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 8-9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. at Holy Infancy Catholic Church, 312 E. 4th St. Bethlehem, PA 18015. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 3893 Adler Place Suite 170 Bethlehem, PA 18017.
