Paul Balandovich, 84, of Bethlehem Twp., died Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at St. Luke's Hospital in Fountain Hill. He was born in Centralia, the son of the late Stephen and Anna Masinick Balandovich. He was the loving husband of Amelia Stuchlak Balandovich. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this past October.
Paul worked as a machinist for Bethlehem Corporation for 20 years, Mack Trucks, Inc. for ten years and St. Luke's Hospital in the engineering department.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a member of St. Josaphat's Ukrainian Catholic Church of Bethlehem.
Paul will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Amelia, son, Paul Balandovich, Jr. of New Tripoli; daughters, Anna Musselman of Center Valley; Stephanie, wife of Scott Romig of Bethlehem Twp.; brothers, Daniel Balandovich of Jenkintown; Thomas Balandovich of Florida; sister, Mary Theresa Mattu of Mt. Carmel; and his grandchildren, Breanna & Matt Romig & Trevor & Dalton Musselman.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, John, Henry, Joseph, Nicholas & Charles Balandovich.
Services: A visitation will be held, Sunday, May 31, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. with a Parastas Service at 7 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 East Broad St. Bethlehem. A second viewing will be held, Monday, June 1, 2009 from 8:30-9:30 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by an Office of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Josaphat's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1826 Kenmore Ave. Bethlehem. Burial will be at St. Josaphat's Cemetery, in Lower Saucon Twp.
