Paul Hicks, Jr.

Paul "Butch" Hicks, Jr., 62, of Bethlehem Township, died Thursday, June 21, 2007 in his home. He was born June 6, 1945 in Fountain Hill, the son of the late Paul Hicks, Sr. and Catherine Glush Hicks. He was the loving husband of Judy R. Neith Hicks they were married 38 years, the day of his passing.

He was a graduate of Liberty High School. Paul worked his whole life as a mechanic. He owned and operated Paul's Garage in Bethlehem Township, from 1984-1988. He worked many years for the former Hanchick and Lerch in Bethlehem Township, and assisted other local mechanics when he was needed. He was well known and loved by his community. He was a member of the Independent Citizens Club and the Roosevelt Democratic Club. He also enjoyed playing softball for the St. Mark's Softball league. Paul served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Judy, son, Paul A. Hicks; daughters, Susan M. Buchman and Judy I. Stapinski and her husband David J., all of Bethlehem Township; brother, George Hicks, Sr. and his wife Judy of Freemansburg; sister, Beverly Fenstermaker and her husband Barry of Bethlehem and grandchildren, Thomas, Cody & Darin. He was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy Hicks.
