Paulette M. Balshi

Paulette (Miklos) Balshi, 65, of Bethlehem, died at home on Wednesday, March 4, 2015; she was surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Allentown on October 22, 1949; daughter of the late Pauline (Keglovits) and Joseph Miklos of Coplay. She was the wife of Stephen J. Balshi.

Paulette was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, class of 1967, and a 1970 graduate of the Sacred Heart Hospital School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse for Sacred Heart Hospital, Holy Family Manor, and for the late R. Stockton “Stocky” Taylor. She was a caregiver for her mother for 10 years and most recently worked at Seasons Olive Oil in Bethlehem. Paulette was an avid gardener, enjoyed baking and spent countless hours helping others in the community. She most enjoyed spending time with her sons and four grandchildren. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Steve; sons, Tim (Soraya) of Bethlehem, and Mike (Carolyn) of Ashburn, VA; grandchildren, Ana & Chloe of Bethlehem, and Mara & Andrew of Ashburn, VA; brother, Thomas Miklos of Atlanta, GA; sister, Patricia Skulteti of Bethlehem; and nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

Viewing hours will be held in the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, on Sunday, March 8, from 6 to 9 p.m. A 1 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 9, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 3219 Santee Rd., Bethlehem. Burial will follow in Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
