Gram hosted the initial "Grandkids Dinner" in 2001 as a means to ensure closeness amongst the grandchildren. These special and extraordinarily fun evenings always ended with a poker game. Pauline was an active member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church and considered the parish an extension of her family. She was proud of her activities with the church that included prayer meetings, adult Sunday School, and social events.
