Pedro R. Perez, 87, of Bethlehem, passed away on September 3, 2017. Born in Salinas, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Oliva (DeJesus) and Vincente Perez. He was the loving husband of Josephine (Garza) Perez.
Pedro served his country in the Korean War under the 65th Infantry Division. He was a member of Holy Infancy Church. He worked for Just Born for 43 years as a marshmallow cook. Pedro was an original member of the Puerto Rican Beneficial Society as well as many other social clubs in Bethlehem.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 years, Josephine Perez; children, Janet Fetherolf (Richard) of Florida, Robert Perez (Terese), Milagros Rivera (Oscar) and Pedro Perez (Minerva) of Puerto Rico; brother, Salvador Perez; sister, Josefina Rosado; 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; daughter in law, Donna Perez and many nieces and nephews. Pedro was preceded in death by his son Vincent F. Perez, Sr.; brother, Jose Perez and sister, Agripina Perez.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 8-9:30 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. at Holy Infancy Church, 312 E. 4th St. Bethlehem, PA 18015. Burial will be held at Cedar Hill Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Infancy School C/O Connell Funeral Home. Checks may be made out to the school.
