Peter A. Alonso, 87, of Bethlehem, died on Sunday, October 19, 2014. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Ramiro and Camila (Mata) Alonso. He was a WWII veteran who served with the U.S. Army 27th Infantry Division; stationed in Okinawa and Japan. He was a member of the Hellertown American Legion and a life member of the V.F.W. He was a lifetime member of Holy Infancy Catholic Church, Bethlehem.
He will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews extending 4 generations. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Felicia Straubinger, Angie Dios and Mary Guerra; and his niece, Lois Guerra.
A visitation will be held in the Holy Infancy Church, 312 E 4th St, Bethlehem, PA 18015, from 9:30 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25. A 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
Memorials may be made to the church.
