Peter Michael Sedler, Jr., 73, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly, at home on October 11, 2021. He was born in Bethlehem on July 7, 1948; son of the late Peter Michael Sedler, Sr. and Ethel (Groff) Sedler. Pete is survived by his devoted wife of nearly 50 years, Charlette Sue Sedler.

Pete will be most fondly be remembered as a family man. He was a wonderful husband and doting father. He loved nothing more than spending Saturday mornings going to yard sales with Sue, and days at the beach in Ocean City, NJ with his family. He was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed watching Penn State and the San Francisco Giants. Pete also loved playing softball and coaching baseball at Northwest Little League. Pete was a man who did not complain, he kept to himself, but found great joy in spending time with his friends from the Bethlehem Steel. Pete retired from the Bethlehem Steel as a crane operator at the ore bridge, after 33 years of service. He was a 1966 graduate of Liberty High School. When traveling in his beloved Jeep Cherokee, Pete always listened to the Elvis Presley channel. He also had a deep affection for his cats, forming a special bond with each one that was rescued.

He will be dearly missed by his wife, Charlette Sue Sedler; Children, Amanda M. Sedler and Christopher A. Sedler; sister, Barbara Hummel and husband, Dennis; and brother, Andrew.

Friends and family will be received on Sunday, October 17, 2021 from 5-8 p.m. Guests are kindly asked to wear a mask upon entry to the funeral home. A brief prayer and words of remembrance will be shared at 8 p.m. Inurnment with military honors will take place 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Fort Indiantown Gap Cemetery, Annville, PA. Guests wishing to attend are encouraged to meet at the cemetery office at 8:45 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions s may be made to wounded warriors and/or Center for Animal Health and Welfare.
