Peter P. Facchiano

Peter P. Facchiano, 88, of Bethlehem passed away on Friday October 14, 2011 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg in Bethlehem. He was born on February 16, 1923 in Bethlehem, son of the late Joseph and Louise Montone Facchiano. He was the husband of Dolores Reagan Facchiano. They celebrated 63 years of marriage on April 24, 2011.

Peter was a civil engineer for over 40 years for Bethlehem Steel. From 1979-1981 Peter and his wife Dolores lived in Beijing, China where he headed the Shuchung Mines Project. He was a 1945 graduate of Lehigh University with a BS in civil engineering. He was active in the Alumni Assoc. serving as various officers and on its board of directors. Peter was an active fund raiser earning the highest honor, the Alumni award. He enjoyed Lehigh football and reunion weekends. Peter was a former member of Saucon Valley Country Club where he was an avid golfer for many years.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Dolores and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by brothers John and Vincent and sisters, Madeline Kiefer, and Anna Pearson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11AM on Thursday October 20, 2011 at St. Anne's Catholic Church 450 Washington Ave. Bethlehem, Pa. 18017. Calling hours will be from 7-9PM Wednesday evening at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa. 18018 and 10-11AM Thursday morning at St. Anne's Catholic Church.
