Peter V. Santamaria

Peter V. SantaMaria , 71, of Bethlehem Township passed away Thursday, March 31, 2011 in his home surrounded by his family. Born July 18, 1939 in Bethlehem, he was the son of Anna Jancosko SantaMaria and the late Vincent SantaMaria. He was married to Judy Freeman SantaMaria for 48 years.

Peter taught English and Reading for 35 years, the last 31 years were in the Allentown Schoold District. He was a financial advisor for over 35 years with both Waddell and Reed and SagePoint Financial. He graduated from Liberty High School and received a Bachelor's degree from Moravian College and a Master's degree from East Stroudsburg University.

Pete was very passionate about his friends and family, especially being able to participate in his grandchildren's sports and activities. He was an avid traveler visiting many European countries and studied at Oxford University.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Judy, son, Vincent P. SantaMaria and wife Kristine, daughter, Christine wife of Peter O'Brien, sister, Dolores wife of James Sauerwein. He will also be missed by his four grandchildren, Jennifer, Stephanie, Sean and Erin.

SERVICES

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 3219 Santee Rd., Bethlehem, PA 18020 at 11 AM. A calling hour will be held in the church from 9:30-11 AM. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery. Arrangements Connell Funeral Home.
