Philip Zito, 90, of Bethlehem, passed peacefully on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 surrounded by his family at his residence.
He was born April 10, 1921 in Roseto; the son of the late Joseph and Constance Trigiani Zito.
Mr. Zito is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Colleen Catalanotti Zito.
He retired as a presser from Phoenix Clothes and earlier served as a bartender for the Italian American Club in Allentown, Twin Lakes Iron Lakes Country Club and Casa Del Blu.
Mr. Zito will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Colleen; his daughters Phyllis Zito of S. Whitehall, Lucille Peters of Hanover Twp. and Connie Weber of Martins Creek. He will also be dearly missed by his three grandchildren Christie, Jonathan and Austin and his sister, Mae Ciliberti of Roseto.
He was an avid New York Yankee fan and enjoyed to play a round of golf in his free time.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 16, 2011 from 10-11AM at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 with a funeral ceremony immediately following.
Interment will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem, PA.
