Phyllis A. Bambu

Phyllis A. Bambu, 70, of Bethlehem, died on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at her residence. She was born in Bethlehem; daughter of the late Mary (Maio) Szoke and Robert C. Brueningsen. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Bambu.

Phyllis dedicated her life to helping others as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Most recently she worked for Holy Family Manor Villa.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, David A. Bambu and his wife Kelly of Hellertown and Joseph Scott Bambu and his wife Shea of North Carolina as well as two grandchildren, Kyle and Brynn; her sister, Roberta Carraghan and her mother-in-law Jennie A. Bambu.

Phyllis was also predeceased by her brother, Ronald T. Brueningsen.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 1, 2012 from 9-10 am at the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 with a prayer service to immediately follow in the funeral home.
