Rachael Lopez

Rachael R. Lopez, formerly of Bethlehem, died on Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at Saucon Valley Manor in Hellertown.

She was born in Galeana, Nuevo Len, Mexico; the daughter of the late Manuel and Paula Cano Rodriguez.

Rachael was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Reuben E. Lopez, Sr.

She worked for the Bethlehem Steel Co. during WWII and assisted at her brother's restaurant before dedicating her life to her family.

Rachael was a member of Holy Infancy Catholic Church, Bethlehem.

She will be lovingly remembered by her family; daughter, Rene wife of Alex Gergar of Freemansburg, PA; and sons Reuben E. Lopez, Jr. husband of Rose Ann of Apple Valley, MN; Robert J. Lopez husband of Lynn of Ephrata, PA; Ronald V. Lopez with whom Rachael resided in Hellertown, PA; and Richard A. Lopez of Great Falls, MT.

Rachael is also survived by her sister Maria S. Sculley of Bethlehem and her brother Joseph Rodriguez of Scottsburg, IN as well as nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her sisters Dolores Luna, Ophelia Ybarra and Pauline Sechney and her brothers John and Manuel Rodriguez.

Rachael will be remembered forever as a loving and caring person who enjoyed cooking, sewing and especially loved spending time with her family.

You were always there for us and supported us. Our strength, our rock, our everything? you will live in our hearts forever. You were the best mom and grandmother in the whole wide world! We were so blessed to have you and you will always be with us.

Arrangements are under the guidance of Connell Funeral Home, Inc. Bethlehem.

The family will receive friends on Monday, November 26, 2007 from

9:30-10AM at Holy Infancy Catholic Church 312 E. 4th St Bethlehem with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10AM in the church.
