Raymond E. Albertson

Raymond E. Albertson, 81, of Center Valley, formerly of Fort Myers, FL and Hellertown, died on Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem. He was the husband of Irene Kelhart and the late Rosemary Glancy. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Raymond and M. Estelle Faseno. An entrepreneur, he owned ABE Leasing Company and Albertson Furniture, both in Hellertown. Ray managed several local car dealerships, combining his love of cars and business. He was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Society where he was involved in Pastoral Care. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus in Fort Myers, FL; he sang in the choir at St. Theresa's in Hellertown and St. Columbkill in Florida; and he was a past member of the Hellertown American Legion.

Ray will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Irene; children, Carol Herman & her husband, Stewart, of Lower Saucon, PA; Raymond & his wife, Rose, of Center Valley, PA; Chris of Bennington, N.H.; Renee Hans & her husband, James, of Easton, PA; Lisa Dundon & her husband, Brian, of Milford, OH; John Drago of California; grandchildren, Craig, William, Ryan, James, Jesse, Nathan, Deseree, Isaac, Ashley, and Lauren; great-grandchildren, William, Kaid, Sean, and Maya.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Friday, March 20, 2009 at Assumption Blessed Virgin Mary Church at 10 a.m. 4101 Old Bethlehem Pike, Bethlehem, PA 18015. Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. in the church. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery of Hellertown. Arrangements have been entrusted to Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 East Broad St. Bethlehem.
