Raymond F. Rosati

January 9, 1947 — September 6, 2011

Raymond F. Rosati, Jr., 64, of Hellertown, died on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at St. Luke's Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Iris Huertas Rosati. They celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary on September 5th. Born in Allentown, Ray was the son of Virginia Gaddy Jandris and the late Raymond F. Rosati, Sr.

Ray loved the outdoors and was a nature and animal lover who worked his entire life meticulously tending his beautiful property and caring for his home. A consummate outdoorsman, he spent many hours carefully nurturing his beautiful plants and flowers. He was a millwright at Bethlehem Steel until retiring in 2002 after which time he held various positions, until he became ill.

Ray served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps and served a tour of duty in Vietnam. He was an active member of the V.A. and was instrumental in the construction of the Korean and Vietnam Memorial in Bethlehem.

Ray will be remembered by his loving family - his devoted wife; daughter, Tifani, son, Nathan and his wife Melissa and, grandson, Dante, his brother, Steve and his wife Pat, and many nieces and nephews. He will also be sorely missed by the entire Huertas family who loved and appreciated Ray and his unique and special humor.

Services: A Service for family and friends will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 East Broad St. Bethlehem. Calling hours from 10 a.m. - 12 noon with service directly following. Burial will follow at Holy Savior Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Dante's college fund care of Connell Funeral Home.
