Raymond Joseph Gonzales

Raymond Joseph Gonzales, 63, of Bethlehem passed away on Monday April 30, 2012 at the Hospice House of St. Luke's in Bethlehem. He was born on December 31, 1948 in New York, son of the late Cecilio Gonzalez and Petra (Huertas) Gonzalez of Bethlehem. He was the husband of Cathy (Manley) Gonzales. They celebrated 41 years of marriage this past January.

Ray was a partner in the Gonzalez Brothers Construction Co. and also was the owner of Ray's Place which is now the Casablanca for over 30 years. He was the owner of Ray Gonzales Trucking Co. for the past 30 yrs. Ray was a member of Holy Infancy Catholic Church. He was devoted to his family as a husband, father, and grandfather. He was a self-made businessman who believed in a hard days work and was always there for everybody.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Catherine, mother, Petra, daughters, Jennifer Gonzales, Maria Gonzales and Rae Gonzales-Figueroa wife of Marcial all of Bethlehem, brothers, Cecilio Gonzalez of Whitehall, David Gonzalez, and Victor Gonzalez both of Bethlehem, 4 grandchildren, Victoria, Raemond, Marcial and Marae.

He was predeceased by brothers, Rueben, and Carlos.

A Prayer Service will held at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 p.m. at Holy Infancy Catholic Church, 312 E. 4th St., Bethlehem, PA 18015. A viewing will be from 7-9 p.m. Friday evening and 10:30-11:45 a.m. Saturday morning at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
