Raymond Joseph Hayduk, Sr.

Raymond Joseph Hayduk, Sr., 76, of Freemansburg, PA died Sunday, October 11, 2009 at St.Lukes Hospital in Bethlehem. Born September 27, 1933, he was the son of the late Michael and Kathryn Leonard Hayduk. He was married to Olga Postupack Hayduk with whom he celebrated 54 years of marriage.

Raymond was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church in Bethlehem. He worked for PBNE Railroad, the City of Bethlehem and later was the owner and manager of Olga's Luncheonette in Freemansburg. He was elected president of the union for the City of Bethlehem, but Raymond was most proud of his service as president of the Freemansburg City Council.

Raymond will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Olga, son, Raymond Hayduk husband of Cathy, daughters, Cathy wife of James Snell, Diane wife of Joseph Minuni and Sandra wife of Scott Sopko, brother, Michael Hayduk husband of Lucille and 9 grandchildren; Jessica wife of Jeremy Falk, Joshua, Joseph, Mary, Dominic, Raymond, Jenna, Emily and Sean. He is also survived by one niece and one nephew.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 from 8-9:15 AM at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 with a service at 9:15 AM in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church 1140 Johnston Dr. Bethlehem, PA 18017.

Memorial contributions may be made in Raymond's name to the church or to American Parkinson Disease Association #1 Medical Center Blvd. Upland, PA 19013.
