Raymond W. Murphy

April 15, 1938 — March 27, 2019

Raymond W. Murphy, 80, of Bethlehem, passed away on Wednesday March 27, 2019 at Holy Family Manor in Bethlehem. He was born and raised in Philadelphia, the son of the late Raymond G. and Ruth (Boston) Yurasko. He was the husband of Gerri (Linehan) Murphy. They celebrated 59 years of marriage this past October 10th. Ray retired from Ametek in 1998. He served his country in the US Army. Ray was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid Eagles and Phillies fan and enjoyed going to spring training. Ray was a summer resident of Long Beach Island and also enjoyed his sitting and sipping bench.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Gerri, daughters, Gerri Murphy and husband Joe, Michelle McIntyre and husband Chris, and Joanne Endrick and husband Jeff, son, Ray Murphy Jr. and wife Jennifer, sisters, Ruthann Murphy, and Cindy Koons, 11 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.

Calling hours will be held 10-11:30am Friday March 29, 2019 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church 3219 Santee Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18020, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 11:30am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Burial will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lehigh Valley Cancer Support Community 944 Marcon Blvd. Allentown, PA 18109.

The family would also like to say thank you to all the staff at Holy Family Manor for your care of Ray.
