Regina Fitzko

Regina "Jean" Raczkowski Fitzko, 92, of Bethlehem Twp., died peacefully in her sleep Monday, October 24th. She was born on June 16, 1919 in Wilkes-Barre, PA; the daughter of the late Magdalena and Joseph Raczkowski. She was the wife of the late Louis Fitzko who died in 1964. She was also predeceased by her son, Louis J. in 1986.

Regina worked at R.K. Laros Silk Company and Diamond Blouse for 26 years. She retired a long-time member of the ILGWU.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bethlehem Twp.; where she was a former member of the Altar and Rosary Society, a member of the Bethlehem Twp. Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and served as a committee member for the Girl Scout Troop 44 for a number of years.

Regina will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, June Meilinger of Northampton; daughter-in-law, Joan Fitzko of Bethlehem; grandchildren, Michael Meilinger and his wife, Eleanor, Glenn Meilinger and his wife, Donna, Mark Fitzko and his wife, Danielle, Jennifer and Eric Fitzko; her great-grandchildren, Amanda, Melanie, Justin, Brian, Danny and Gianna and two great-great-grandchildren, Logan and Payton, as well as two sisters, Helen Karp and Genevieve Lebeduik. She was preceded in death by three sisters.

Services: A Funeral Service will be held today, Wednesday, October 26th at 10 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem. Visitation will be held from 9-10 a.m. in the funeral home.
