Regina M. Barna

Regina M. Barna, 86, of Bethlehem, died on Wednesday, September 13, 2017. She was born September 12, 1931 in Bethlehem, daughter of the late Stanley and Marie Leanor (Shive) Verdensky. She was preceded in death by her husbands, John Bednar, Warren Boyer and John Barna.

Regina worked for Roller-Smith Co., Bitronics; where she worked for over 20 years, RKP, and ultimately retired from Bradlees. She was a member of Holy Infancy Catholic Church. Regina enjoyed taking drives through the mountains and feeding the animals. She was an avid reader and was a very good Rummy 500 player. Regina also was talented at creating crafts, particularly crocheting and knitting.

Regina will be dearly missed by her children, Kathy Klingerman and her husband, Donald of Lower Saucon Twp.; John Bednar and his wife, Amy of Virginia; and Michelle Glick and her fianc, George William of Allentown; 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her grandson, Dennis James Glick and her brothers, Robert Verdensky and Richard Ache.

A visitation will be held at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 7-9 p.m. on Friday, September 15, 2017 and again on Saturday from 8:00-9:15 a.m. in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at Holy Infancy Catholic Church, 312 E. 4th St. Bethlehem, PA 18015. Interment will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church and/or Hospice of St. Lukes c/o Development, 801 Ostrum St. Bethlehem, PA 18015.
