Richard A. Zukawski

Richard A. Zukawski, 74, of Bethlehem died on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at LV Hospital-Muhlenberg with his loving family by his side.

He was born in East Stroudsburg; the son of the late John and Mildred Wilk Zukawski.

Rich is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Maryann Cincotta Zukawski of Bethlehem.

He was a graduate of East Stroudsburg High School. After graduation, Rich proudly served his country in the US Marine Corp and later graduated from Penn State University.

Rich retired from the Bethlehem Steel Corp. after 35 years of service in the Homer Research Lab. He was also one of the owners of Terra Greens Golf Course in East Stroudsburg.

He will be lovingly remembered by his family, wife Maryann; children, Bryan Zukawski and his wife Margaret of Blakeslee; Richelle Hudak and her fianc Brian Handlovic both of Bethlehem and Michael Zukawski and his wife Terrilynn of Bethlehem. Rich is also survived by his seven grandchildren, Kaleigh, Morgan and Bryce Hudak; Dylan Zukawski; Bailey and Bobby Hager; and Brynne Handlovic and his sister June Eldridge of GA.

Rich was preceded in death by his brothers Chester and John.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 from 6-8PM at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at 10 AM at Ss Simon and Jude Catholic Church 730 W. Broad St. Bethlehem PA 18018

Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
