Richard D. Kovacs

Richard D. Kovacs, 46, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at his home on March 18, 2018 after a 5 year battle with glioblastoma. He was the son of Nancy K. (Sandor) and Richard F. Kovacs.

Rich graduated from Liberty High School where he was a member of the golf, wrestling and cross country teams. He attended Northampton Community College. He enjoyed talking to and getting to know his customers on his route during his many years as a UPS driver. Rich enjoyed Fishing, Archery and watching the Eagles. Rich loved being a father and cherished every minute he had with his daughters.

He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Lauren Kovacs and Isabella Kovacs; parents, Richard and Nancy Kovacs; sisters, Diane Kovacs Curtis and Kimberly Abajian (Timothy); nieces, Brittany Abajian, Julianne Eppley and Toni Abajian; nephew, Jack Curtis and great nephew, Zane Abajian.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018 from 8:30-10:30 A.M. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A funeral service will follow at 10:30 A.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be held at Bethlehem Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to College Hill Moravian Church, 72 W. Laurel St. Bethlehem, PA 18018.
