Richard F. Zmijewski

Richard F. Zmijewski, 83, of Bethlehem passed away at his home on Wednesday February 24, 2021. He was born in New Britain, Connecticut, the son of the late Myron and Sophie (Granowski) Zmijewski. He was the husband of the late Maxine (Assfalg) Zmijewski, who were married for 51 years. Richard served his country in the US Army from 1958-1960 where he taught electric motor and generator repair. He then worked as a carpenter for over 25 years with DHR Construction and finished out his career as an assistant building official in the towns of Windham and Ellington.

He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Alicia Reiser and husband Mark and Deborah Schroeder and husband Peter, sisters, Barbara Zmijewski, and Patricia Stanton, and 2 grandchildren, Logan and Tristan. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert, and sister, Miriam Petano.

Service will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
