Richard H. Bartels

Richard H. Bartels, 82, of Hellertown passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 with his family by his side. Born on February 13, 1941 in the Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Grace (Mills) and Henry Bartels. He was the loving husband of Renate (Moog) Bartels.

Richard worked for many years as a production manager for Schaefer Brewing Company. He enjoyed collecting records, traveling with his family and gardening. He found joy in conversations with family and friends about his favorite sports teams, the New York Mets and Giants. Richard was always looking to help and take care of others before himself. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his pride and joy and he cherished every moment he had with them.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Renate Bartels; daughters, Karen Sicinski and her husband, Paul and Kristen Lerner and her husband, Eric; son, Matthew Bartels; sister, Clare Tomeo; grandchildren, Christopher Sicinski, Lauren Sicinski, Sarah Lerner and Henry Bartels and great-grandchildren, Charlee, Jocelyn and Nora Sicinski.

Service will be held privately.
