Richard H. Mcgee

Richard H. McGee, Sr., 81, of Bethlehem, died on Friday, January 20, 2017 in St. Lukes Hospital Fountain Hill Campus. He died peacefully surrounded by his family. Richard was born in Bethlehem, the son of the late, James J McGee, Sr. and Mary Margaret (Pilzer) McGee. He was the loving husband to Janeth L. (Harryn) McGee. They would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this September 7th.

Richard worked at Bethlehem Steel in the blast furnance and Homer Research on the maintenance gang for 30 years retiring in 1985. Richard later worked part time at Saucon Valley Country Club and for Lutron. He was a parishioner of Assumption Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Colesville.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Janeth; his son, Richard H. McGee, Jr. and wife, Olga of Allentown; daughters, Debora A. Weber and husband, Anthony of FL; and Lisa A. McGee, of Allentown; his sister, Theresa D'Emilo, of Allentown; his brother, Peter McGee, of Northampton; and four grandchildren, Sarah, Christine, Jesse and Jake. He was preceded in death by his brothers, James J. McGee, Jr. and Joseph T. McGee.

Services: A viewing will be held on Monday, January 23, 2017 at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, Pa 18018 from 9-10:30 a.m. followed by a service at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery in Bethlehem.

Memorial contributions may be made in Richards name to Assumption BVM 4101 Old Bethlehem Pike, Bethlehem, PA 18015 or to the charity of ones choice.
