Richard J. Stein

Richard J. "Richie" Stein, 73, of Bethlehem, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. Born on February 8, 1951, he was the son of the late Ida M. (Miller) and Titus Stein. He was the loving husband of Jacqueline A. Stein.

Richie proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. After returning home from the Army, Richie worked many jobs at the Bethlehem Steel for close to 30 years. He enjoyed traveling the states and going to England to see family, singing, country music, Harley Davidsons and watching the WWE. His generous and kind heart will be dearly missed by those who loved him.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 19 years, Jacqueline A. Stein; daughter, Dawn Koons (Kenneth); sons, David W. Becconsall (Julie T.) and Paul T. Becconsall (Donna P.); sister, Julie Miller (Michael O'Donnell); brother, Robert Stein; uncles, Thomas and Chester Miller; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2024 from 5-6 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A memorial service will follow at 6 p.m. 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Richard's name to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, VFW, Processing Center, P.O. Box 2002, Milford, NH 03055-2002.
