Richard P. Baliko

Richard P. Baliko, 94, of Bethlehem, died on Thursday, November 3, 2016. He was born July 24, 1922 in Bethlehem; son of the late Charles and Beatrice (Wargo) Baliko. Richard was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 67 years, Margaret L. (Kroboth) Baliko.

Richard proudly served in the US Army during WWII. He worked as a chainman at the former Bethlehem Fabricators for 15 years prior to retiring from Wood Catering after 10 years of service. Richard was a former parishioner of St. John Capistrano Catholic Church and more recently was a parishioner of St. Annes Catholic Church.

Richard is survived by his sons, Richard Jr. and Joseph, and daughter, Cynthia; his grandchildren; and various nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Charles Baliko, Jr. and his sister, Irene Sparrow.

A visitation will be held on Monday, November 7, 2016 from 8:15-9:15 a.m. at The Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. on Monday at St. Annes Catholic Church, 450 Washington Ave. Bethlehem, PA 18017. Burial with military honors will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made the family c/o the funeral home.
