Richard Stephen Fistner, 83, formerly of Bethlehem, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. He was born in Fountain Hill on January 21, 1940 to the late Stephen J. and Margaret R. (Racz) Fistner. Richard attended Holy Ghost grade school, Bethlehem and then graduated from Allentown Central Catholic High School. He served our country faithfully in the U.S. Army during Desert Storm as a Staff Sergeant, serving our country for a combined 31 years until retiring. After retiring from the Army he worked in retail for Bradlees & Marshalls Department Stores. Richard was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Bethlehem.
Survivors: brother: Paul W. (Joan) Fistner of Bethlehem; sister: Barbara M. (Joseph) Henninger of Bethlehem, Twp. He was predeceased by his brother: Stephen J., Jr.
Service: Family and friends are invited to call 10:00 - 11:00am on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 417 Carlton Ave.-Bethlehem, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. The Interment with Military Honors will conclude services at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. Online condolences may be offered at connellfuneral.com.
