Rita M. Garbarini

Rita M. Garbarini, 87, of Bethlehem, died on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at the Hospice House of St. Luke's. She was born February 5, 1926 in the Bronx, New York; daughter of the late Ernest R. and Mary (Pestone) Menniti. Rita is survived by her devoted husband of nearly 65 years, Victor C. Garbarini.

Rita was a graduate of Hunter College, New York City, NY. She retired in 1990 as a branch manager for Home Interiors and Gifts, after 24 years of service in interior decorating and direct sales. She enjoyed her job encouraging women, recruiting, and motivating them to succeed in sales. She was a former parishioner of St. Anne's Catholic Church and most recently was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.

Rita will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Victor; daughter, JoAnne M. Garbarini; sons, Victor R. Garbarini and Paul E. Garbarini. She was preceded in death by her son, John "Chris" Garbarini in October of 1985.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2013 from 5-8 PM at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 and again on Monday, May 6, 2013 from 9-10 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church 3219 Santee Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18020. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM on Monday, May 6, 2013 in the church. Interment will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
