Robert A. Bogdan, 71, of Freemansburg, died on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 in his home. He was born in Bethlehem on April 4, 1949; the son of the late Francis Bogdan and Helen Krug. Bob is survived by his wife of 18 years, Debra A. (Hitcho) Bogdan.
Bob was a graduate of Notre Dame High School. He was an extremely proud U.S. Army Veteran. Bob retired honorably as a Sergeant First Class after 20 years of service, including service in the Vietnam War. Upon retirement from the Army, Bob accepted a position with the U.S. Postal Service where he worked for 20 years until his retirement.
Bob will be dearly missed by his wife, Debra; two sons; two daughters; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Fran and Sandra; two nieces and a nephew.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2020 from 5-7 p.m. and again on Monday from 9-10 a.m. with a service to follow, all at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. Masks and social distancing are required upon entry and a limited number of guests will be permitted in the building at the same time. Burial with military honors will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Headstrong Project, PO Box 412572 Boston, MA 02241, to assist servicemembers and healing the hidden wounds of war.
