Robert Anthony Miller

Robert Anthony Miller, 64, of Bethlehem, died unexpectedly at Hershey Medical Center on December 30, 2020. He was born in Easton, PA; son of the late Harold and Louise (Ottaviano) Miller. He is the husband of over 40 years to Mary Ann (Steirer) Miller. The two met while working together at Almart; Robert working security and Mary Ann a cashier.

Bob was a self-proclaimed “grouchy stubborn old man” but he truly was a big teddy bear on the inside. His family was the most important aspect of his life; especially his granddaughter, Madison Lynn Miller; who he affectionately called Peanut. Bob was the greatest father to Jennifer Nicole Miller. His family misses him tremendously. Robert Miller will always be remembered for his "grumpiness", sense of humor, sarcasm, and being the best Father, Grandfather, and Husband!!!

Bob was a graduate of Wilson High School and attended Lorain County Community College in Ohio. He proudly served as a member of Security Forces in the U.S. Air Force. For much of Bobs life he worked as a 911 dispatcher. First with the City of Bethlehem, then Moravian College and finally with Lehigh Valley International Airport. He was also the owner of Maddies Hot Dogs in Lorain, Ohio; which was named after his beloved granddaughter. Bob had a passion for Italy and art.

Bobs family will receive friends on Friday, January 8, 2020 from 1-3 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. Masks and social distancing will be required upon entry and a limited number of guests will be permitted inside at one time. A memorial service will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made to Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, 500 University Dr, Hershey, PA 17033, please note that the contribution is for the Pulmonary Unit.
