Robert C. Hartzell

Robert C Hartzell, 77, of Bethlehem, died on Friday, April 11, 2008 at Hospice of the VNA of St. Luke's in Bethlehem.

He was born in Allentown, and was the son of the late John and Catherine Smith Hartzell. Bob is the husband of Eleanore M. Andrasko Hartzell who he married in 1954.



Bob is a 1950 Graduate of Central Catholic High School. After high school Bob served his country in the U.S. Air force during the Korean Conflict. Bob worked for Bell Telephone Co. as a PBX installer retiring in 1988 after 33 years service. He then worked for Lehigh University as head of telecommunications from 1988 to 1995. He was a member of Church of the Assumption B.V.M., 4101 Old Bethlehem Pike, Bethlehem.

Bob will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years Eleanore, son Robert C. Hartzell Jr., and wife Jane E. of Nazareth, daughter Elizabeth A. Mowrey and husband Craig L. of Hellertown, four grandchildren Rachel and Amanda Mowrey, and Thomas and Matthew Hartzell, four sisters in law. Elizabeth Greene, Catherine Long, Margaret Ackerman all of Bethlehem and Dorothy Ratushny of Hellertown and a brother in law Albert Andresko of Bethlehem.

Bob is predeceased by his parents
