Robert C. Kienzle

Robert C. Kienzle, 83, of Nazareth, passed away on August 13, 2013. He was born in Pottsville, son of the late George and Lillian (Bower) Kienzle. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ethel (Schmidt) Kienzle.

Bob attended school in Nanticoke before graduating from Wyoming Seminary and Colgate University. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and served his country for 30 years before retiring. He was an officer, fighter pilot, attach to the Netherlands and a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was an avid reader and runner and volunteered with various literacy programs. He loved traveling with his wife across the world.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Ethel; and his daughter, Cheryl Kienzle and her husband, Julio Piazza. He was predeceased by his daughter, Nancy Julian. Bob is also survived by grandchildren, Matthew and Katherine Piazza, Andrew and David Julian.

A visitation will be held at the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 on Saturday, August 17, 2013 from 1-3 p.m. immediately followed by a funeral service. Burial will be private. Memorial Contributions may be made to Moravian Hall Square, 175 West North St. Nazareth, PA 18064.
