Robert D. Delazaro

Robert "Bob" D. DeLazaro, 73, of Bethlehem died on his birthday, December 3, 2008 at St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem. He was the husband of Barbara Brandafi and they would have celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary on December 8th.

Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Martin "Jack" DeLazaro and Gertrude Knauss DeLazaro. He was a graduate of Fountain Hill High School. Bob Spent 24 years in the auto industry where he worked for Buick and Volkswagen, retiring in 2007. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force.

Bob was an avid golfer and loved his New York Giants. He had a great love for his family and he couldn't go far without running into a friend. His sense of humor and warmth will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.

Survivors:

His beloved daughters; Ann of Zionsville and Susan of San Diego; grandson, Odin Robert "Bub", sisters Mary Ann Rice of Allentown, Della Bertalan of Palmerton, brother, Martin "Chick" DeLazaro of Macungie, and nieces and nephews.

Services

Bob's family will receive friends on Friday, December 5, 2008 from 5-7 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Bob's name to the American Lung Association 2121 City Line Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18017 or to the American Cancer Society 3893 Adler Place Bethlehem, PA 18017.
