Robert E. Fay

Robert "Bob" Fay, 80, of Hackettstown, NJ passed away on Monday, May 9, 2022. Born on August 11, 1941 in Manhattan, NY, he was the son of the late Elizabeth K. (Greene) and Joseph J. Fay. Bob had his own accounting firm and worked as a CPA, helping multiple generations of clients.

Bob loved nature. Whether hiking with loved ones or just sitting outside with them drinking a cup of coffee, he always noticed the small treasures of the earth. He also had a passion for books and movies. He introduced his family and friends to the art he loved, and he always took their recommendations. He was unfailingly helpful and generous with his time. He knew how to make people laugh, and he knew how to give a great hug. He had a remarkably open heart. Bob was truly loved by his family and friends (and every dog he ever met); he will be greatly missed.

He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Jeanne Jacoby and her husband, Kirk; Robert Fay and his wife, Valerie Valencia; Ronald Fay and his wife, Siobhan; and Sheryl Fay; step children, Kim Aumick and her husband, Marc Aumick; Greg Boggs and his wife Damhnait Doyle; grandchildren, Jessica and Kylee Jacoby, Renzo, Mia, Sofia, Raquel and Khloe Fay, Aoibhinn and Ron Fay, Aidan Aumick, and Clara and Lilly Boggs; his first wife, Peggy Buzitsky; sister in law, Barbara Fay and brother in law, Les Blum. He was predeceased by his companion Shari Boggs.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022 from 2-4 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A Celebration of Life will follow at 4 p.m. in the funeral home.
