Robert G. Williams

Robert G. Williams, 74, of Bethlehem, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2015. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Wilbur and Mildred (Strausser) Williams. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patricia R. (McLaughlin) Williams.

Robert was a graduate of Liberty High School. He worked as a Draftsman for the Bethlehem Steel for over 40 years, retiring in 2003; and served in the National Guard from 58-64. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and former member of the NW Bethlehem Lions Club and the Suburban Interchurch Dart League, of which he was also a past president. He gave of his time volunteering for First Presbyterian, St. Lukes and Lehigh Valley Hospitals. He enjoyed traveling both here and abroad, especially day trips with his grandkids.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Patricia; son, Scott (Rachel); grandchildren, Madeline and Todd; brothers, Donald (Marianne), Ronald (Marsha), and Larry.

Visitation will be held in the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, on Thursday, August 27, from 6 to 9 p.m. and on Friday, August 28, from 10 to 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 2344 Center St., Bethlehem. An 11 a.m. funeral service will follow on Friday in the church. Burial will be in Bethlehem Memorial Park Cemetery.
