Robert J. Balshai

Robert J " Bebop" Balshai, 62 , of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully as he slept on Friday, February 5, 2010 at his home. He is the son of the late Joseph and Ethel Frickert Balshai.

Bebop was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving during the Vietnam War era. He was employed most of his adult life at the Washington Republican Association where he was also a member and past officer. He was also a member of the Westside and Fountain Hill Republican clubs and the St. Bernards Club.

Bebop is survived by his friends at the club.

Robert is predeceased by his parents, two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call on Friday, February 12, 2010 from 6:00PM to 8:00 PM in the Connell Funeral Home, 245 East Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 8:00 PM.
