Robert J. Ebeling

Robert J. Ebeling, 63, of Bethlehem, died December 15, 2015 at home surrounded by his family. He was born August 2, 1952, the son of Barbara (Kohlmier) and the late William Ebeling, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, June (Cassium) Ebeling.

Robert proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps, where he worked in intelligence. He also served in the United States Air Force reserves before being honorably discharged. He worked for the Bethlehem Steel Co. for 35 years and also as a Certified Wound Ostomy nurse for Medstar Washington Hospital Center, Washington, D.C. Robert enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and playing classical guitar and piano. Robert had a passion for writing and wrote over 300 stories about his life, experiences and adventures. He especially loved being a grandfather.

Robert is survived by his wife June, of Bethlehem; Son, Brendan and wife Amanda of New Tripoli; grandchildren, Anna and Ryan; brothers William Ebeling, Jr., Allan Ebeling, John Ebeling and sister Susan Moyer.

Services will be held Saturday December 19, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E Broad St, Bethlehem, PA 18018. A viewing will be held Friday, December 14, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. and on Saturday from 12:30-1 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home.
