Robert James Halal

Robert James Halal, 82, of Bethlehem, died on Friday, September 9, 2011 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg in Bethlehem. He was born in Tamaqua, PA and was the son of the late Charles and Mildred Sherry Halal and the husband of the late Bertha M. Augustine Halal who died in 1982.

Robert worked at Bethlehem Steel as a melter in the Electric Furnace Melting department retiring in 1989 after 40 years service. He was a member of the Bethlehem Elks and was a graduate of Allentown Central Catholic.

He will be lovingly remembered by two sons James R. Halal of Whitehall, PA and David S. Halal of PA and one brother Charles Halal of Egypt PA and one granddaughter.

Friends may call at Connell Funeral Home, Inc., 245 East Broad Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018 on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Prayer Service will be held at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at 11:00 AM followed by burial at Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery in Northampton, PA
