Robert Koons

Robert "Captain Bob" Koons, 65, of Bethlehem, died Monday, March 10, 2008 at St.Lukes Hospital in Bethlehem. Born June 9, 1942 in Allentown he was the son of Gladys PetersKoons and the late William H. Koons, Sr. He was married to Debra White Koons.

Robert was a fireman in Allentown. Prior to his career as a firefighter he served his country in the U.S. Marines. He was a member of Zion Evangelical Congregational Church in Allentown and also the Blue Mountain Gospel Band. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, and his crossword puzzles.

Bob will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Debra, mother, Gladys of Whiteall; daughters; Angelica wife of Oliver Nagle of Allentown, Kimberly wife of Christopher Roberts of Allentown, brother, William Koons, Jr. of Cape Charles, VA, sisters; Sharon Coulter of Whitehall, Jacqualin Hood of Sun City, CA, grandchildren; Payton, Jillian, Brady, and Montana, and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his four legged friends, cats; Bobby, Shirley, Wiggles, Pandora, and one dog, Sarah.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Maryann Baron Koons.

SERVICES

Visitation will be at Zion Evangelical Congregational Church 222 W. Susquehanna St., Allentown, PA 18103 on Friday, March 14, 2008 from 9-11 AM, followed by a service at 11 AM. Arrangements entrusted to Connell Funeral Home, Inc.

Burial will be at Cedar Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, in Allentown.
