Loving father, grandfather, uncle and friend, Robert Mark Hartzell, 69, resident of Bridgeville, Delaware died peacefully at Kirkland Village in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, February 25, 2015. Bob was the beloved husband of the late Rita E. Hartzell and the son of the late Mark and Elizabeth Hartzell. He was born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on February 28, 1945. Bob graduated from Liberty High School and then Valley Forge Military Academy.
With an eye for detail, Bob enjoyed his hobby of drawing house plans and landscape design. He also loved space planning, especially kitchens and closets. Bob was a master decision maker who was responsible, practical, serious, confident and disciplined. Bob was a controller by trade but loved to play golf and travel.
Bob will be missed by his daughter, Christine Vogel and his two grandchildren, Courtney and Connor Vogel, all of Middletown, Connecticut. He also leaves behind his sister-in-law, Ceily Gavura and her husband, Mike of Northampton, Pennsylvania; his brother-in-law, Phil Sedlock of Clifton Park, New York. Bob is also survived by a nephew, Ryan Field of Medford, Massachusetts. In addition to his wife, mother and father, Bob was predeceased by his daughter, Denise Ann Hartzell of Glastonbury, Connecticut. Forever loving, missing and remembering you in treasured memories.
Arrangements have been entrusted to The Connell Funeral Home. A visitation will be held at St. Annes Catholic Church, 450 E. Washington Ave. Bethlehem, PA 18017 on Saturday, March 7, 2015 from 10-11 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial to immediately follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
