Robert N. Bogart, 83, of Bethlehem Township, passed peacefully at home as he wished on May 22, 2021. He was born November, 27, 1937 in Easton; son of the late George A. and Jane E. (Gackenbach) Bogart. Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Angeline (Oddo) Bogart in May of 2011.
Bob proudly served in the US Air Force for eight years, including time during the Korean War. While in the Air Force he was a member of the 740th Aircraft Control and Warning Squadron and 310th Combat Support Group (SAC). Upon his honorable discharge, Bob returned home where he began his 31-year career with the Bethlehem Steel Corporation. He retired in 1997 as a crane operator in the combination mill.
Bob will be remembered as a kind soul who never had a bad word to say about someone. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church where he served as a Eucharistic Minister for over 20 years. Bob had a passion for golf and was a scratch golfer with a 0 handicap.
Bob will be dearly missed by his stepdaughter, Marie Del Re-Shriner and her daughter, Kelsey; as well as extended family and friends.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 28, 2021 at Holy Saviour Cemetery. Guests are encouraged to meet at the entrance to the cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Bobs honor may be made to Marie Del Re-Shriner.
