Robert P. Breiner

Robert P. Breiner Sr., 75, of Northampton passed away peacefully at his residence Wednesday August 10, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 23, 1936 in Bethlehem son of the late Alfred P. and Dorothy Lawler Breiner. He was the husband of Barbara Cunningham Breiner. They celebrated 51 years of marriage on October 10, 2010.

Robert worked as an electrician for Local Union #375 for 38 years retiring in 2000. He was also very active helping his wife Barbara with her businesses, Queen's Way To Fashion and most recently Barbara's Country Crafts. He was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Whitehall, Pa., and also a veteran of the US Navy. Robert graduated from Allentown Central Catholic High School Class of 1954. He was an avid Yankee fan. Robert will be missed by many and was a devoted husband, and loving father and grandfather.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, daughter, Kathleen Dvorscak and husband John of Northampton, sons, Robert P. Breiner Jr. and wife Judith of Eldersburg, Md., and James P. Breiner and wife Cathy of Northampton, and grandchildren, Amy, John, Samantha, Robert III, Timothy, Rebecca, Allison, and Jessica.

He was predeceased by a brother Richard Breiner.

A prayer service will be held 9AM Saturday August 13, 2011 at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa. 18018 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 10AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church 4102 S. Church St. Whitehall, Pa. 18052. Calling hours will be 7-9PM Friday evening and 8-9AM Saturday morning at the funeral home. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery in Bethlehem.
