Robert T. Beck, Sr.

Robert T. Beck Sr., 83, of Bethlehem. died Saturday, July 8, 2006 at Brinton Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation in Glen Mills, PA Robert was born in Fountain Hill, PA

and was the son of the late Andrew and Mary Yeager Beck. He was the widower of the late Helen M. Kozar Beck who died in December of 1997 whom he was married to for 50 years. Robert served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He received a Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with three bronze stars as well as the World War II Victory Medal. Robert was employed by the former Bethlehem Steel Co, and was the General Foreman in the Electro Slag Refining Shop , he was and avid fisherman and liked playing golf. He was a member of the former Bethlehem Steel Club, The Ukrainian American Citizens Club and the Coplay Saengerbund. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Cheryl Beck wife of Larry Anthonsen of West Chester, PA and son Robert T. Beck Jr. and his wife Patricia of West Collingwood Heights, NJ a sister Grace Spangenberg of Tulsa, OK, two sisters-in-law- Alice Kozar widow of Louis Kozar, Sr. and Helen Beck, widow of Walter Beck, Sr., six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren as well as an extended family of nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his parents, wife, brother Walter Beck Sr. and three sisters, Catherine Bodner, Thelma Downing and Marie Casey

Services were held at the Connell Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday, July 13, 2006

Burial was at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem
