Robert W. Curzi

April 11, 1950 — July 6, 2015

Robert W.”Bob” Curzi, 65, died on July 6th in his home. He was born April 11, 1950 in Bethlehem, the son of the late John Curzi, Sr. and Antoinette (DeSentis) Curzi. He was the loving husband of Kathy (Kondash) Curzi. They celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary this past May. Bob was a graduate of Our Lady of Pompeii grade school, Bethlehem Catholic High School and DeSales University. He was a Marine sergeant, honorably discharged. He retired as Deputy Director and interim Executive Director from Bethlehem Parking Authority after serving as a vice president of several area banks for over thirty years. He was a past Grand Knights of the Trinity Council #313 Knights of Columbus, past president of Bethlehem Kiwanis Club, Bethlehem Chapter of UNICO Italian American Service Organization and Notre Dame CYO. He was a member of the U.S. Marine Corps League, the American Legion Post #009 and the Business Advisory Council of DeSales University. He also served on the Finance Committee of Notre Dame of Bethlehem Church and was a retired Little League and PIAA softball umpire. He will be remembered for his overwhelming love for his family and dedication to his Catholic faith.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Kathy; daughter, Anjanette and her husband Michael Oberholzer, son, Robert J. and his wife Danielle; and his five beautiful grandchildren whom he adored- Hudson, Francesca, Emery, Blaise and Holden. He is also survived by his siblings Mary Curzi, Genevieve Glancy, John Curzi Jr. and Donald Curzi. He is preceded in death by his brothers Emilio, Marino and Archie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday July 9th at 11am at Notre Dame Catholic Church 1861 Catasauqua Rd. Bethlehem. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 8th from 6-8pm at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem and Thursday morning 9:30-10:30 at Notre Dame Catholic Church. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675 or Notre Dame of Bethlehem School Angel Fund, 1835 Catasauqua Rd, Bethlehem, Pa.
