Ronald A. Wendell

September 3, 1941 — August 31, 2008

Ronald A. Wendell, 66, of Bethlehem, died Sunday, August 31, 2008 at the Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, DE. Ronald is survived by his wife, Patricia K. Kelleher Wendell of Bethlehem. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late William and Pauline Flandorfer Wendell.

A graduate of Bethlehem Catholic High School, Ronald retired from the Bethlehem Steel Co. in 1995, after 31 years of service as a Machinist in the #2 Machine Shop. He was an active member of the Steel Workers Union of America LU 2599 and was recently interviewed for the upcoming book "30 Years Under the Beam" which explains his experiences at Bethlehem Steel.

He was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church, Bethlehem.

Survivors: Ronald will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Patricia, sister, Cecilia W. wife of Dr. James Chupella as well as his nephew Christopher T. Wendell, niece Lori Ann Albino and great-niece Lacia Albino.

A mass will be held Saturday, September 13th at 2 p.m. at Notre Dame Catholic Church, Catasauqua Rd. Bethlehem. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
