Ronald J Silfies, 62, of Bethlehem, died on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at Hospice House of the VNA of St. Luke's in Bethlehem. Ron was born in Allentown and is the son of Joann M. Berzkovits Silfies of Bethlehem and the late Charles S. Silfies. Ron is the loving husband of Sharon L. McNevin Silfies. They celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary this past December.

Ron was the Distribution Center Manager of United Industries for 11years in Allentown. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was 1965 graduate of Notre Dame High School and attended Moravian College and North Carolina State University.

Ron was an avid golfer. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.

Ron will be lovingly remembered by his wife Sharon L. McNevin Silfies of Bethlehem, his mother Joann Marie Berzkovits Silfies of Bethlehem, sons Sean T. Silfies and his wife Kelly of Jim Thorpe, and Scott R. Silfies and his wife Jami, of Williams Township, daughter Kristen Ann Silfies of New York City, NY, two brothers Dennis M. Silfies of Bethlehem and Timothy R. Silfies of Clearwater, FL and four Grandchildren.

He is predeceased by his father, a sister Brenda Roland and a brother John C. Silfies.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3219 Santee Rd., Bethlehem, PA 18020 on Friday, September 25, 2009 at 11:00 AM. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
