Ronald W Stahr

Ronald W. Stahr, 64 of Bethlehem Township died on Thursday Dec. 4th after suffering a heart attack while driving. He was pronounced at Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenburg in Bethlehem.

He and his wife Patricia L Barlok celebrated their 37th Wedding Anniversary this past September.

Born in Bethlehem he is the son of the late William and Mary Dougherty Stahr.

He is a graduate of Liberty High School and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army serving in Germany during the VietNam Conflict.

Ron loved his job and all his customers with the U.S. Postal Service working as a mail handler 1973 to 1978 and as a mail carrier for the past 30 years serving the people on his route near Northampton Community College.

He was very active with the National Association of Letter Carriers Branch 254 as a Job Stewart where he was the go-to man when it came to providing food and locations for meetings for his fellow postal workers.

He loved animals and always carried dog biscuits for his four legged friends during his deliveries.

Surviving with his wife are his two daughters; Jennifer of Lancaster, Pa. and Marybeth a student at Wilkes University. He is also survived by his sisters; Elizabeth Stauffer of Quakertown, Pa., Shirley Havernic and Joan Carraghan both of Bethlehem, his brothers; Robert J. and his wife Mary Jane of Bethlehem and Richard and his wife Barbara of Rochester, N.Y.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday Dec. 8th at 10:00 a.m. in the Connell Funeral Home 245 East Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa.

Visitation will be on Sunday 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home

Interment will be at Bethlehem Memorial Park.

Memorial may be made in Ron's name to the Humane Society of Lehigh County 640 Dixon St. Allentown, Pa.
