Rosa Silva Marques

Rosa Marques, 96, of Bethlehem, died on Thursday, September 29, 2011 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Veiros, Portugal; daughter of the late Antonio Luis Tavares Da Silva and Rosa Henriques.

Rosa was preceded in death by her husband, Albino Marques in 1993 and her brother, Ildefonso in 1977.

She retired as a seamstress from A.G. Baba Sports Wear and was a member of the I.L.G.W.U.

Rosa was a parishioner of Holy Infancy Catholic Church, Bethlehem.

Rosa was a very loving mother and proud grandmother. She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Maria, with whom she resided and Lucinda Matos, wife of Licinio of Lower Nazareth; sons, Antonio and his wife, Alice; Manuel and his wife, Linda; Albino and his wife, Guilhermina and Ildefonso and his wife Ann all of Bethlehem as well as eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a sister, Ermelinda Silva of Florida and nieces.

A viewing will be held on Monday, October 3, 2011 at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 8-9:30 AM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM on Monday, October 3, 2011 at Holy Infancy Catholic Church 312 E. 4th St. Bethlehem, PA 18015

Burial will be follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
